This painting was instant inspiration; I was taking a break and watching a video when one of my collectors came into my gallery. I paused the video and saw the hand. I made a quick sketch and later on sculpted out in watercolors these hands holding a glass. I wanted to capture the tension and emotion shown in the hands and the distortion made by the glass.
