This painting was commissioned by a private collector in Maryland as a Valentine's Day gift. My paintings are of places that someone would love to spend time. The bank is in the background, cool, rich, vibrant, and full of growth. It is also diffused, pushed back to show the Herons glowing with life. The water is reflective, calm, but always with some movement.
This painting was one of two paintings commissioned by Hornblower Cruise Lines for their Summer Yachting campaign. The painting was featured in brochures, private invitations, California statewide ads and on the Hornblower website.
